September 16th, 2014 10:50 AM #1Hi Guys, just got my white Toyota Corolla GLI 2000 baby altis, all stock. Di din naman ata gngamit na pantaxi ang GLI. napaisip lang naman ako what simple things can I do to make the car look better. Nakamags naman ako mga sir pero nabother lang din ako dun sa nasabi nung kakilala ko so nagiisip ako ng pwede pa gawin.
Thanks guys!

Bayaan mo mga haters
Keep it clean and simple. No borloloy, bling, wings, stickers, etc. IMO a set of nice rims will do wonders.

September 16th, 2014 10:59 AM #4wala kang magagawa... talagang mukhang taxi naman talaga, e.
perhaps if you keep the paintjob clean and shiny...
and keep all doors locked, at baka na lang may biglang pumasok at papuntahin ka sa molopisya..
at tanggalin mo kaya yung toplight..
mag-hintay ka na lang ng 2 years.. by then, illegal na yan gawing taxi..
heh heh.
but hey! seriously, i do not mind if my car looks like a taxi.. my colleagues do not mind.. and neither should you.
drive well and arrive well.

I think that arriving to that conclusion (that it looks like a taxi) was not meant to be mean spirited. It's just the way it is.
If you're bent on changing that image, change the color. If not, just accept the fact that it will, on occasion, gets mistaken for a taxi or a rent-a-car.
I have an associate who drives a white Corolla LE. He's quite comfortable with it that he's even the one that started bringing up the fact that he gets flagged down by unsuspecting commuters almost everyday. He even joked about that the 'LE' meant 'Low End'.
Anyway, don't worry. Just flip it around and use the situation as an ice breaker.

Nice rims (although the stock ones are just fine by me)
Clean seat covers
Good tint
Decent audio system
Shouldn't cost you more than Php 100k if you want your Love Life Corolla to have a non-taxi appearance.

Keep it clean. Don't add too many borloloys as mentioned.
I used to drive a White AE101. I had that for over 18 years and they was only one instance I saw someone hail at me. I probably don't get hailed as much because my car has super dark tint. I don't recommend it though. I think the contrast of Black tint against White paint looks good kasi.
