    Absolutely.

But the original contention was that the new Montero was somehow "tinipid" by not including an electrically-powered aux fan, even when the necessary mounting points and other hardware were already built-in. This was addressed a few posts back as being true only when sold with the older generation engine.

As it is, it doesn't need an aux fan. It doesn't require it. But if your guts are killing you to install one, it shouldn't hurt the vehicle.
    nopo.
the opinion or suggestion to add an aux fan, is for anyone and everyone to consider, who felt his aircon was failing him, especially in noonday traffic.
and it is a reversible choice of action, in case it doesn't work.

... just to add, checked my sis in law's Almera... No aux fan (I find this surprising from Nissan)

But yes, the radiator, condenser and fan has a housing that ensures sharing the fan is possible. Only negative issue I have against the set up is "if fan needs replacing in the future" you will need to buy an original fan.

The Mirage really needs an Aux fan... Badly... The aircon is barely working on a December!

One thing i do is to clean the cabin filter every 2 months. Then palit after 6 months. But yes, a/c is not that strong for a small sized car.

that would depend, po, on how brave one is, and how Quripot one is.
years ago, na-mahalan ako sa 8.5K oem aux fan ng lancer ko. and there was no cheaper replacement part. but there was this generic fan for 900 bucks. we just modified the mounting ears a bit, to make it fit. it was still working fine when we sold the car a year later.

The Gen2 Everest and 1st Gen Innova/Hilux/Fortuner did not have condenser mounted aux fans.

I opted to install an aux fan on our previous Gen2 Everest. It did help cool the A/C during standstill daytime traffic.

Actually yun nga concern ko. Sa older cars namin, puro surplus fans ang replacement na kinabit ko... Basta tama lapad nya, madali na lang yung mount.

With "modern" cars, mukhang hindi na ito pwede

Hi since plug and play nman ang aux fan na iakakabit, concern ko lang is if nag pakabit ako what happens if nasira na siya in the future, may tendency nba mag overheat 3rd gen monty natin? Compare sa stock na walang aux fan
