September 18th, 2012 11:18 AM #111OT: Just wanna share.
I would never forget this Fortuner. Why? Coz the driver of this car was so inconsiderate in NLEX with high beam and changing lanes without even signaling. We were on our way to Clark for the 2012 Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival very early in the morning. There was a part in NLEX that got a bit busy and I was the last car on the overtaking lane and here comes this car with very bright lights. Then maybe the driver wanna get ahead, switched to right lane then when a slow truck was nearing his Fortuner, suddenly cut me just to get in front without signaling. Well to get even, I also put my bright lights on. Then the impatient driver just kept driving like that trying to overtake everybody but the line was really looking and space was tight and always ends up in front of me. The overtaking lane finally got free and the driver just floored it. It was still early and I didn't feel the need for speed.
When we got near the parking entrance of the festival, cars were on queue and suddenly my girlfriend shouted and told me that a Fortuner fell in the ditch. We were about 3 to 4 cars behind. Then we saw 2 women alighted the vehicle shouting and sort of laughing. Then when we passed it, we both recalled that it was the same Fortuner who was driving like an ass in NLEX.
Because of too much rush, the driver miscalculated that turn and turned right very early that resulted to that. It was still dark when it happened, I think around 4:30 to 5am then when we left around 9am, it was still there.
Back to topic:
It's probably the driver that they hate more than the car.

September 18th, 2012 12:10 PM #116Mga JOLOGS kasi ibang mga posters dito, mga walang magawang constructive and productive. Di naman mga technical/ automotive experts, don't know how to read specs and compare. Just pure hearsay and speculation ang alam. Let us post intelligent and meaningful topics here for everyone's benefit.

That's the beauty of TSIKOT, you don't have to be an automotive expert to be part of the community, you just need to love cars.
Yung mga haters they are part of the process and since people love their cars they hate and bash back.
Pero syempre your right mas maganda kung intelligent and meaningful ang mga discussions but it will be boring as well. But don't worry this thread will sort itself out in the end.

Let us all be thankful that we have cars. Some of us have a single car, while others have a small fleet. Whatever the brand or model, it is there so that we can use it for our daily needs. Compare yourself to the average daily commuter, imagine how hard it is to wait in line at a jeepney or bus stop. Add to that the various elements around you, smoke, heat, beggars, rain, floods, etc.
And when you do get to ride the bus, its cramped full, you stand for 2 to 3 hours before you arrive to your destination because of traffic, rains, floods, accidents, etc. Ask a daily commuter what he/she wants for, and the serious number one answer would be is to "buy my own car". Make and model comes in as a second afterthought.
Kahit ano pa yan, pasalamat tayo na may kotse tayo!
