Kakaiba talaga turbo power ng PPV model na yan, hahaha.

Hindi kaya magtaas ang insurance para sa Montero?

Medyo lugi mga insurance companies jan dahil sa higher likelihood ng Montero of ramming (a) wall/shop/other cars/pedestrian because of SUA/driver's error.

The break pedal and accelerator pedal already move a bit afar sa 3gen compare sa 2nd gen ng montero na malapit lng ang distance on both pedals.

But still plenty drivers ay alam lang sumakay at magpaandar ni di marunong magcheck sa vehicles that they used. The thing is very easy to get drivers license in the country compare to other countries way way far stricter to avail drivers license.

Is it the elevation of the pedals or the horizontal distance that really matter?

With regards to SUA, the SUA issue of toyota USA few years back has been solved after they sought independent evaluation from NASA who by technical standard revealed that there is nothing wrong with the computer box & engine management of the toyota car in question (camry). NASA, however, found the cause of the SUA and it was the improperly-sized floor mat that inadverdently traps the accelerator pedal during acceleration, hence, the unwanted SUA. Now, going back in the local scene, IIRC, Mitsubishi Ph sought the help of an independent 3rd party to evaluate the Montero SUA problem and, yes, they said there is nothing wrong with MS ECU & engine mangement system (just like Toyota USA). Is it possible then, that the pedal design of the brake & accelerator (they are of almost of the same height and near each other) of the montero sports is the real culprit?

Mitsubishi investigation only prove that there is no SUA on montero but they dont have any conclusion for what cause it[emoji31] Until this kind of accidents persist no wonder SUA issue will never stop[emoji37]
