Can anyone else also confirm that the Hyundai Grand Starex doesn't have a brake shift lock but only a button shift lock similar to MS? Tried it on the brother's GS.

kahit sa M/T nga e, from starting the engine going out from the garage, clutch together with the brakes muna bago mag shift to reverse, tapos baba ng handbrake.

ang lock nyan is yung button sa shift knob. though yung iba pwedeng ma-move from D to N while on motion yung car. pero D to R, you will need to press the button sa shift knob. so hindi basta basta magagalaw ng crazy girlfriend.
the white montero driver clearly stepped on the gas, thinking his foot is at the brake pedal, shifts to R...nabangga, nag-panic, sabay hila sa kambyo pababa sa D, apak pa rin sa gas, araro forward.

As if the passenger beside you don't have access to the shifter? and as if they can't press the shift lock of the shifter.
There's a reason why I put "kid" and "crazy" on my question.
My point is, for safety purposes, there should be brake lock when you move the shift from P or N to X gears. Prone to accident yung shift lock lang.
