Mahirap talaga tanggapin ang katotohanan lalo na pag attached ka sa isang brand. Sasakyan lang yan. AFAIK for common people, specially non-engineers, to say na impossible mangyari ito without even knowing how it was designed is not bulletproof.
The idea that the montero is the same as the other monteros assembled in other countries is not right either because no two cars are identical.
POSIBLE at hindi IMPOSIBLE as this is like any other computer and sensor based systems, which encounter glitches. Problema lang, mukhang dahil sa kawalan ng qualilty control ng mitsubishi eh mga sasakyan nila ang tinatamaan.
Conspiracy you say...at what cost? Injuries, deaths? What devil would want this upon anyone just for a freaking box on wheels (oh yeah "Devil Car" nga pala ang tinawag dito nung isang victim). Madami talaga pwedeng ipalusot ang mitsubishi and the easiest way is .....you got it right....DRIVER ERROR. So ibig sabihin talaga ng mitsubishi madaming engot na bumili ng sasakyan nila kasi bukod tanging sila lang ang nakaka experience nito.

For those who insist that the Mitsubishi Montero Sport suffers from sudden unintended acceleration, here's a seemingly similar incident involving a Toyota Fortuner. We really think the real cause of these accidents is pedal misapplication--something most drivers will never own up to (perhaps because they weren't even conscious of it to begin with). November 24th, 2015 10:02 AM #1116All it takes is just 1 bit of misplaced data sa electronic control module. Boom! Imagine, Volkswagen can program the car to cheat the emission test? It's that easy! Same goes for making a mistake with the source code for the embedded system. It's that easy! It's also that easy to cover up and sweep under the rug.

WTF!
To be fair to TGP, kapag binasa mo mga replies and comments, they did mention they do not believe in SUA in any vehicles that is. And they did make their own experiments iirc.

November 24th, 2015 10:15 AM #1119Masyadong simple yun test. Brakes can also be controlled by the electronic control module (i.e. Stabilty control, etc.). Kung walang ecu errors at the time of test, syempre gagana lahat ng instruments including brakes.

SUA was never proven...Even the Audi and Toyota cases in the US, the NHTSA never found evidence of computer/electronic fault.
NASA did not find an electronic cause of large throttle openings that can result in UA incidents. NHTSA did not find a vehicle-based cause of those incidents in addition to those causes already addressed by Toyota recalls.
Subsequently, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) concluded that the majority of unintended acceleration cases, including all the ones that prompted the 60 Minutes report, were caused by driver error such as confusion of pedals. From 2002 to 2009 there were many defect petitions made to the NHTSA regarding unintended acceleration in Toyota and Lexus vehicles, but many of them were determined to be caused by pedal misapplication, and the NHTSA noted that there was no statistical significance showing that Toyota vehicles had more SUA incidents than other manufacturers. Other investigations were closed because the NHTSA found no evidence that a defect existed.Last edited by Monseratto; November 24th, 2015 at 11:12 AM.
