July 10th, 2007 06:07 PM #41Dear guys,
I have a 2001 Mitsubishi GSR. Dati wala syang problema sa mileage umaabot ng 9km/l strictly city driving. Tapus lately napasin ng erpat ko na biglang tumakaw bigla yun kotse. Ngayon lumalabas na sa 5 to 6km/l nalang. since this was kasa maintained dinala dun. Ang sabi ni ok naman daw according to the settings based on their computer readings etc. they also said that because the car is getting old lumalakas daw talaga... Dito ako di makapaniwala! What do you think is the problem with the car. I might bring it to rapide nalang. I feel na ginogoyo ako ng casa eh.
Your inputs are highly appreciated.
Cheers!

Hello Russel,
I am very sorry about your Mitsu casa experience. Anyway, I think your problem can be assessed sa www.mymitsuph.com
Sign in po kayo ang marami dun naka GSR. They might have encountered same problems as well.
Salamat po!

mas gogoyohin ka ng rapide wehehehe!
when was the last tune-up done? baka bad driving style lang or under-inflated tires? also take into consoderation yung fuel na ginagamit. baka you're not using the recommended RON as per manual?
i'd bring it to a more reputable shop. try mo si speedyfix if you're in the mandaluyong area. i can vouch for migs' service.

Try cleaning your MAF sensor with some electrical cleaner. While the ECU may report nothing wrong, poor fuel consumption can mean that one or two sensors may be very dirty, causing it to drink too much gas. This is a common problem on MAF-equpped cars like the Sentra and the Lancer.
Or it could be your AT is starting to go south... (I'm assuming your late-model GSR is INVECS) does it still shift smoothly?
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
