August 26th, 2011 11:51 PM #1Hi GuYz . . .
I'm planning to buy a Mitsu Lancer GSR...
Ngayon ano ba magandang model from 97 to 03 ?
Yung invecs ba ng newer model nito ay parang normal na matic ba na may ATF rin..?
EFI na ba yung mga 2000 to 2003 models..?
Kumusta naman ang paghahanap ng parts nito?
So...what year model is the best buy and at what price range..?
May nakikita kasi ako sa sulit na worth P295k at set-up na siya at showroom na rin kaso 97 model lang...worth it ba yun..?
Hope you guyz can give a lot of ideas about this car...
Thanks...

The best models would be the ones from 2000-2002. Parts are similar to it's 4 door sibling. All of them have EFI.
Happy Shopping!

About average for japanese automatics of the time... in other words, 50:50 chances of it being borked if the fluid wasn't changed regularly.
The only additional maintenance issue for the INVECS are the extra computer boxes, which are expensive to replace if they blow or if the car gets flooded.

If you really need an AT, the GSR is not really any worse than other ATs of the time... and it came with a nicer interior than the older manual variant, as well as rear disc brakes (not really a big deal, drums, but rear discs are pogi points...
).
