    Mahirap din ilagay sa "Park" kapag umaatras talaga pede maglock yun parking prawl at di magdisengage yung solenoid ng kambiyo di mo maililipat ng gear. Best practice is to step on the brakes talaga if mga panandaliang tigil lang and gumamit ng kalso kapag matagal na magpapark on an inclined road. Then kapag may time check your rear brakes baka pudpod na kaya ayaw kumagat ng ayos.

    gls v 4x2 pala unit. ah so may mga certain incline ang hindi kaya ng handbrake, say kahit brand new ang unit? so its normal?

    yup, hindi ko rin prina practice na ilagay sa park lalo na at sandaliang hinto lang. so bro kahit brandnew unit may certain angles na hindi kaya ng handbrake?

    Paadjust nyo ang adjuster rod ng brake shoe cylinder bago eadjust ang slack ng hand brake handle cable, 3 clicks maririnig paghinatak ang handle puede na.

    So the rule is never use PARK when parking in an incline? Eto po kasi practice ko mapa patag man or inclined parking.

    No, you still need to use it kasi di mo naman matatanggal susi kapag di mo nilagay sa Park ang kambiyo. Just make sure na kapit ng todo ang handbrake at wala ng magiging extrang movement bago ilagay sa Park. Sa sobrang incline talaga gumamit ng kalso. It happened to me before akala ko naka lock na ng ayos yung handbrake ko so lagay na sa Park agad yun nung aalis na ako ayaw mag disengage ng solenoid kailangan pa itulak ng konti para makalog at bumitaw yung prawl.

    Well it should lock the tires, except siguro in extreme cases. Never pa ako nakaencounter ng hinatak ko ng ayos ang hand brake at di niya kinaya. Most of the time kapag dumudulas di ko lang naset ng ayos handbrake ko. Kung lagi dumudulas at maayos naman hila mo maybe you need to have the rear brakes checked, baka pudpod na, madumi or need i-adjust yung handbrake.

    Thanks for sharing. To confirm your statement this is what I found in Wikipedia.

    "Most vehicle manufacturers[3] and auto mechanics[4] do not recommend using the transmission's parking pawl as the sole means of securing a parked vehicle, instead recommending it should only be engaged after first applying the vehicle's parking brake. Constant use of only the parking pawl, especially when parking on a steep incline, means that driveline components, and transmission internals, are kept constantly under stress, and can cause wear and eventual failure of the parking pawl or transmission linkage. The pawl might also fail or break if the vehicle is pushed with sufficient force, if the parking brake is not firmly engaged. Replacement can be an expensive operation since it generally requires removing the transmission from the car.."
