Is this 2.0 or 2.2? What are its pros and cons?
Ok ba mga spare parts?
Meron ba talaga matic na lumabas, I thought SS lang meron matic..

the VR was the most powerful m-sized sedan of its time... mga 160hp ata. may matic na lumabas. spare parts are abundant enough pero may kamahalan. yung ss ko gets around 6-7km/liter. things to look at before buying one are the underchassis e.g. suspension arm, bushings, etc (sakit ng 7G galant) pati tranny lalu na kung matic kukunin mo. 2.0L nga pala ito (6a12 V6 24v DOHC to be exact).
good luck in your search :D

February 6th, 2004 01:58 PM #4to add the a/t vr came out in 1996. Also problem areas would be weak brakes especially if your travelling at around 150kph up its takes time to stop. And the aircon, since this was the high end model of the galant they placed a digital display in lieu of the knobs and switches for the control. Because of old age this digital display tends to burn out and if it happens while you own the car its gonna be expensive and hard to find. But overall this a/t vr is a great car it drives well, accelerates fast and has a top speed of 205 kph. The drawback is very poor fuel milleage.
good luck and happy hunting for you dream car

February 6th, 2004 02:27 PM #5yup. great car, very fast. just be sure to check the suspension. Fuel consumption is a bit high if you like going fast.

wow! mataas na fuel mileage na pala yung 6-7km/L? my friend with a 2.0 corona gets about that amount. i also get that with a 2.0 mazda 626, i think it's pretty much middle of the road for a 2.0 engine.

we owned a m/t vr before, grabe, it was the fastest car i drove! walang sinabi yung SiR!
ang major problem ng VR is the brake, especially when braking in highspeed, lakas ng nginig. also, me problem din ang isang suspension part nito, including the SS. pero under recall naman itong part na ito and any mitsu casa will replace that part for free. kahit hindi ikaw ang original owner ng car.Signature
