    i have this on my montero too and it's definitely not turbo whine (turbos sound sweet, but not this)... the sound comes out at 80kph and mawawala ng 90kph irregardless of engine rpm (1500, 2000, 3000).

    meron din ako nito.. sigurado hindi galing sa turbo dahil palabas pa lang ako ng garahe may whinning sound na... sumasabay pag apak sa gas pedal

    I think I also here this sound with my Strada GLS Sport, hear it even below 2000 rpm.

    If its not coming from the Turbo maybe its the A/C compressor. I notice it sounds like whinning if its on.

    It could possibly be the center bearing. but for a new car? hmmm.

    Thanks so much for all your responses! I find the turbo charger's whine pleasing to hear, especially pag naka windows-down tapos medyo pa ahon ang takbo. Stock pa rin ang sounds ko so definitely not from the radio and whining sound. Di rin galing sa A/C compressor ang sound.

    Great idea, jubs00 will try to record on video the whining sound & post it for your evaluation.
