my concern is, the upgrade may be advantageous to the upgradee, but its glare might be detrimental to the oncoming motorist.
i am simply wishing, that upgrades should also include proper shielding against glare, even if it is the more expensive way to go.
my theory is,
with standard bulbs, stray light ("glare") is too weak that oncoming motorists are not bothered by this stray light.
but once the light source is upgraded, the stray light becomes much stronger, and is now going to affect the oncoming motorist. in this instance, reflectors should also be upgraded, to "tame" the light beam into a tighter direction.Last edited by dr. d; April 28th, 2017 at 10:56 AM.

April 28th, 2017 11:04 AM #7ang naiisip ko lang is, say i will upgrade my bulbs sa mas malakas na ilaw...siguro we just have to make sure na tama ang "tutok" ng ilaw at di nakakasilaw sa kasalubong na sasakyan. kung madami lang akong pera, sana nagprojector na ako..hahaha!

April 28th, 2017 11:08 AM #8i have been driving for over 25 years.
and one thing i have to keep telling myself. "if you have to use your lights, it means you should also drive more slowly".
those roadway speed limit reminders on the road, are meant for bright daylight or ideal driving conditions.Last edited by dr. d; April 28th, 2017 at 11:11 AM.

April 28th, 2017 11:51 AM #9From experience, yung tinitinda na fog lamps sa market at pure porma lamps only.
Kung pinaandar mo na, useless. Halos walang difference.
For your HL, stick to stock wattage.

April 28th, 2017 11:54 AM #10About color temperature, AFAIK stock factory lamps are 4000k. Night breakers are around 4300k. The lower the number, more yellow. The higher number, mas maputi/bluish.
Mas visible ang 4300k na color temp. Yung mga 5000k and up, maputi na. Tried both 5000k and 6000k on my projectors. Di ko gusto. Puro shadow lang nakikita ko. Returned to 4300k
