well, car & driver magazine liked the altis better than the civic and sentra and 2003 lancer (but not a lynx 2.0)...
gen3 pajero? only in the gray market. officially, mitsu philippines has no plans to release it here anytime soon (maybe in 2004...). kung gray market din lang, just get a Patrol 4x4!...or a Land Cruiser 100

Hell_racer,
Sino ba gagamit? Ikaw?

otep:::HEHEHEHE Malltero.... Actually Monocoque chassis with subframe naman(Mitsu people would make sure to emphasize this to offroaders :D ). Yung ladder frame parang hinati sa tatlo tapos 1/3 lang ang kinabit sa front and another 1/3 sa rear  Parang W123 (i think). But i agree, still not for our kind of offroading :D

pajerokid,
Ganun nga yung sa W123 ko dati (nakatambak sa probinsya kasi sinira ni lolo). Pero medyo limited talaga ang articulation niya. The subframe is only good for isolating road shock and not for anything else.
May spoilerettes pa sa harap ng bumper. I bet the first rock we encounter will take out those aero add ons.

otep::: No offroader would appreciate the new Paj, sayang
Yung torque split nga 33/67 instead of 50/50 sa atin! Imagine having that dun sa lahar trip natin! Eh di lalo tayong nagka stuck stuck! Im getting off topic.....
but if i ever get to manage getting my slimy hands on a Malltero ok lang hehehe :D gagawin kong Hardcore offroader yung V44 ko hehhehe.

November 2nd, 2002 06:35 AM #7Plastic skid plate? I bet it's made from the same material such as those cheap hongkong toys. . But then again, any car, and I mean all cars are beautiful.... if it's free. Give me one too! :P

diba ang sabi ay mas malaki ang suspension articulation ng gen3 paj for all four wheels compared to the gen2 paj?
also, overlander did an SUV tow test and really liked how the new monocoque Range Rover towed their 1800 kg camper...? the new RR is also still excellent off-road, they say... :?
so what's the verdict on IFS/IRS and unibody construction for venturing off-road?

November 2nd, 2002 11:09 PM #9we still have to wait for a true verdict on the new independent systems. the older ones didn't do well at all, kaya marami talagang purist na gusto live axles.
do you smell change in the air?
