mitsubishi is very huge. from aircraft, ship building, electronics, heating/ airconditioning, ball pens, electrical power generation and the list goes on.

March 4th, 2023 11:17 AM #4i read back in the day, that because they also manufactured the mitsubishi zero of world war 2 fame, a number of costumers refused to purchase anything with the triple diamond marquee on it...

At one time in our automotive history, Mitsubishi was one of a handful of auto makers who remained in the country during the dark days of our economic downturn/s in the marcosian years of the early to mid-1980s.
If what I remember is correct- Toyota practically left our shores, Honda wasn't interested in selling here yet, and the other car manufacturers wouldn't touch our roads w/ a 10 foot pole because the outlook for our country wasn't good.
