This is a promising Compact SUV from Mitsubishi. Would it be an upcoming 2017 CRV killer?
A few weeks ago, Mitsubishi revealed that it will be launching its all-new vehicle at the upcoming Geneva International Motor Show this March. The Eclipse Cross, named after the iconic sports car, will sit in the lineup alongside the Mitsubishi ASX as a compact SUV. Now, the Japanese carmaker has just revealed some photos and the specs of its newest model.
The big news is that the Eclipse Cross will be driven by Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control four-wheel drive system. This is paired with strengthened rigidity via a three-point strut tower brace and structural bonding. It will be powered by two engines: a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline mill mated to a new CVT with eight-speed Sport Mode manual override, and a 2.2-liter turbodiesel fitted to a new eight-speed automatic transmission.
