FC update: Mirage GLS CVT
18.24 Km/L Manual Computation Highway (NLEX) limited at 100kph.
not bad, but our Sorento can do better. hehe 19 Km/L * 100kph max. with the powerful 2.2 Diesel CDRi R-eVGT.
the mirage will probably shine on city driving. never tried it in the city yet. I'm using it for highway duties until 1000kms. currently at 790Kms. but as for Highway FC, it doesnt have much difference than our vios with the 1.5 4A/T. i'm quite disappointed to be honest. well, lets see after the 1000PMS if there will be an improvement.

December 12th, 2012 07:54 AM #3473Thanks for the inputs.
I am estimating that *100kph, the RPM of the Mirage GLS CVT is around 2.5 to 3k RPM. The Sorento and Vios i think have both low RPM compared to Mirage because of having bigger engines.
If i have my time, i will try to do highway driving with my mirage at around 2 to 2.5k RPM. Maybe, just maybe it will further improve the FC.

December 12th, 2012 10:01 AM #3476I wish to share my manual computations too;
Given;
Full tanked mirage gls m/t = 25.20 liters (unleaded)
Distance travelled = 92.70 kms (cubao to sta rosa, laguna & VV)
Refuelled to full tank = 5.22 liters (unleaded)
Manual computation = 17.75 kms/li
Notes:
Road traffic condition. = Heavy traffic to very light traffic (cubao, edsa via slex to sta rosa, laguna)
Ave. rpm = 2,100 rpm
Ave. speed = 85 kph
A/C setting = 26.5 deg. celcius
No. of passenger/s = 1 (driver only)
