2013 Mitsubishi Mirage

Hi guys,

So far I am considering 3 possible issues on my GLX CVT - Red.

1.Pop sound ("Tok!") sa steering wheel after kong ibalik/bawiin ung naka-todong dalawang ikot sa left/right.
2.Steel friction sound sa engine (I guess) during ung pinaka unang mga andar (Reverse/Drive) ko from parking
3.Hindi nag-spin back automatically galing sa naka-todong dalawang ikot na steering wheel after turning sa left/right sa road

I am a novice driver and just started driving last week so these issues might be false. Let me know if you are having the same issues or you already found the root cause or better a solution for these problems. Thanks

Tama, it is a different burger, kaya dapat it must be advertized as such, sabihin na nila yung 21/km FC ay sa Thailand, Japan, Europe, at Australian models lang yun, dahil iba, distinct and not identical, ang Philippine issue Mirage. No one has said, na lahat ng bells and whistles feature ay dalhin nila dito sa Pilipinas, yung FC at Reliability lang ang mas importante sa marami. But who knows, baka konting gimmick lang eh malampasan natin yung FC ng overseas models, pero kelangan maging realistic muna tayo ng maremedyuhan ang pwedeng maremedyuhan.

False and misleading ang ad ng Mitsu. Not fair. Bakit tayong consumer ang lahat gagawa ng adjustment at magbibigay ng allowance? Kahit sa mga early press release 21km/l ang binabandera nila.

Plus dapat may lumabas nang review ng Mirage based on Philippine testing.

At dapat magpaliwanag ang Mitsu Philippines kung bakit ganun ang layo-layo-layo-layo ng actual FC sa ad nila. As in gaano ba ka-ideal yung test drive para sa 21km/l? May "*" lang sila to indicate na may fine print yung 21km/l pero wala namang details.

Well, initial reports pa lang naman ang FC, maybe once the users are more acquainted with their Mirage and become more conscious about 'tipid driving' eh baka malampasan pa natin yung 21/km FC. Marami atang naunang owners ng Mirage eh medyo bagito pa sa driving, baka over-excited lang talaga sa silinyador, kasi yung iba, ok naman ang FC nila.

Now about FC computation, bakit naman hindi reliable yung sa MID ng Mirage, ano yan laruan lang.

Nabasa ko rin somewhere na EU fuel economy cycle is not very reflective of the real world driving as compared as US fuel economy cycle.

Anyway, aside sa FC. Happy naman ako Mirage. Masyado lang naging mataas ang expectations pagdating sa fuel economy nya.

Maganda niyan , yun ginawa ng Honda city /jazz challenge , Full tank yun mga mirage tapos pataasan ng kilometers na makukuha hangang maubos yun last drop ng full tank .pinaka mataas na tinakbo yun may premyo ! Malalaman na natin actual FC sa real world sa Pinas.

Magandang challenge eto para sa mitsu ............patunayan ninyo !!

misleading nga ang advertisement nila, but for me, i did ask the SA, and i say to them 21km/l is in the perfect world and in the real world it would fall to 15, and they said yes, so, they were not lying just to get a sales,... We as consumers should really understand that we get as what we pay for.. masama kung kasing price sila ng Prius.. pero hindi.. for me Eon, I10 or any 3 cylinder is just the same. to get from point A to Point B, reason kung bakit mirage, gusto ko yung porma, but for FC not really..

HI guys newbie here and also a new owner of Mirage GLS MT for 2 weeks now. Nagsesearch kasi ako ng mirage reviews and I happen to found this very informative thread! Napakaganda ng thread na ito. I enjoy reading the posts.

That is why gusto ko rin i share experience ko sa mirage ko. So far no defects! Yes kahit isang sira wala ako nakita halos macheck ko na lahat yung sa Manual. actually pati ABS tinest ko din kung gagana and it did aheheh

> FC: At first when I got the car from the dealership going home, I only got 9.3 L/100km (di ko pa reseset sa KM/L) but I guess kinakapa ko pa cguro yung car. Then I start driving papunta sa office, my route vice versa Fariview to Makati, rush hour only around (6am-9am), (6pm-9pm). After maubos yung 1k worth of gas I got 16.8km/L. imagine bumper to bumper traffic lalo na sa edsa. Di ko pa natry sa Highway

> Yung noise na mention earlier, for me halos negligible. And correct sila konting sounds lang di mo na maririnig. The ride is comfortable enough but I think mas tahimik at smooth yung sa honda City. I just dont know if the 15' wheels on the GLS is a contributing factor

Cons
- Walang random selection playing MP3s on USB.
- lock/unlock walang silent laging may tunog. nakakahiya lang sa kapitbahay pag gabi na or tulog pa
- yung antenna madali makuha, itwist lang tanggal n agad wala man lang lock
- medyo cheap yung quality ng mga plastics materials. Sana lang di sya madali ma worn out.

*siuu3ci, did you use the Mirage MID for FC computation? or mano-mano. There are doubts kasi sa reliability ng MID, pero di naman siguro laruan lang yan.
