November 6th, 2011 12:32 PM #337Hello again guys. So we decided already to get a Montero. However, we now have a dilemma with regards to the variant. MY question is: Is there any difference between the engine of 2012 Montero SPort GLX-V and the 2011 Montero Sport GLX? Is the added "V" in the 2012 variant a factor in better fuel efficiency or does it consume more fuel?
When talking about fuel efficiency, would you choose the 2012 or the 2011?

November 6th, 2011 04:41 PM #340There is a big difference on power between the the two models since the 2011 glx has 136 horsepower while the 2012 glx-v has 178 horsepower. It would be very likely that the 2012 variant will be more fuel efficient since it would have an easier time pulling monty's body.
