Mga Ka-Monty do you have "kalampag" in your dashboard? It is very irritating considering that the car is new! Mine is a GLS-V model bought only last February of this year.

I removed everything in the glove compartment and center console, but the "minor-yet irritating clanking" is still there. For those who experienced the same, what solution did you make or what recommendation can you give?

The sounds seem to come from all over the dashboard. Meron sa may mga gauges, meron sa may MID, at parang meron din sa may aircon controls. Pag daan mo sa unpaved road, dinig na dinig mo at ramdam mo sa steering wheel.

Another issue is the steering wheel, may sound din na parang "robotic" as described by one of the forumer here. I had it checked already, and the casa told me that they put some grease, but the sound is still there up to now.

I asked these questions para pag balik ko sa casa, may idea na ako ng mga ipapagawa at hindi lang aasa sa mga technician nila. Time consuming at very inconvenient kasi ang pabalik balik lang sa casa then wala naman sila solutions to the problems. Thanks in advance mga gurus!

I just opt to listen to the radio, that way i can't hear that robotic/servo sound coming from my steering wheel. Hahay! daming issues!

regarding the MIS, when it gave me problems, i just went to winterpine, who pointed me to autovention at 41 aurora blvd, where i claimed my warranty. they put in a new touch screen and its been problem free every since

re the steering wheel robotic sound, i have not experienced this but thanks for the heads up. i will monitor. if ever this comes out, then i will claim warranty again

on the rattle, there is some rattle but mine seems to come from the door sills. or perhaps i am wrong. its not irritating me though since the rattle of the diesel engine tends to overcome it. will have the casa check this on the 5K PMS unless it gets too irritating for me, hehehehe

for me, the advantage of getting a new vehicle is its warranty coverage and i intend to make the most of it while i am still covered

i would be very mad if this happened to me. this is actually one of the features that i love about the MIS

have you tried a manual reset of the MIS. try pressing with the tip of the pen a small button located at the left hand side of the unit. as per the manual, this is the quick fix if there is anything wrong with the MIS

if doing a reset still does not solve it, then best to bring it in for warranty check. this is what i did after successive resets did not solve my problem with my touch screen

could be the wiring or the sensors of the wheels. best to be sure rather than a DIY. in my case, when i had my rear cameras installed by the casa, the MIS readings went haywire when i left the case. thinking it was a fluke, i let it stand for two days and did some resets.

when the problem was not solved, i immediately went back to the casa. they checked it and the wirings to the ECU were just loose. now it is working fine

buti nalang i got my rear view cams from the casa so they had no choice but to acknowledge that it was their fault in not returning the MIS wires properly after installing the rear view cam

again, my advise for brand new cars is to claim the warranty. if despite this it is still not fixed, then you can escalate this and with the proper demand letter, perhaps a new vehicle or money back? hehehehe :naughty2:

of course, driver's error excepted. theft also excepted like in my case where my headlamp washer was stolen so i had to pay for the brand new replacement part and most likely pay for installing this also, grrrrr

I also hear some faint rattling coming from the dash whenever the road gets uneven, not irritating enough though....also some sound on my door sills when the road gets bumpy. With regards to the steering wheel, I don't hear any robotic sound.....but thanks for the heads up

111prez, isn't it a coincidence that a member of MSCP also had his headlight washer stolen on his GTV? Or are you one and the same? hehehe
