I just got off the phone with Inav.ph, the reason why there is no option to download 2011 Montero Sport Navigation update 1.7a is because of the issue with accessing the SD card under the panel. They recommend to bring the car to your local car dealer or Inav office at Aurora Blvd Q.C.
I'd really like to upload the new 17.a, but I am not very mechanically inclined I am fear I might break the clips. Sorry

i would much rather have winterpine/iNav/mitsu dealer do the update so that if anything breaks, it is under warranty and will be repaired/rectified immediately
when my original touch screen conked out, ayun it was replaced with a new touch screen. when the video playback acted up, a winterpine/41 technician did home service on my unit. ngayon everything is working fine

May 6th, 2011 04:30 PM #4Oww thank you Slick for going through the trouble of calling them. Your images are more than enough! Unfortunately, I'm here in Butuan City in Mindanao. Cheers!

May 6th, 2011 05:52 PM #6Here is my small contribution:
The reverse cam inside a plate protector. This could somehow prevent theft. Downside with a cut-out cover is dust and water can go inside so had to drill holes under to serve as drains.
Taken with an iPhone 4.

The image provide below is for reference only. Remove your panel at your own risk. As someone has mentioned it is better to bring your MS 2011 to a dealer or Inav for update.
The 4 arrows indicate the location of the lock tabs.

May 6th, 2011 05:54 PM #8Awesome pics slick.
Medyo nakakatakot I-DIY, I'm sure mahal yung cover pag nasira.
Question sa mga nag set-up na
1. Pag nag attach ng Back up cam, san kinakabit sa LCD monitor o sa source HU sa baba?
2. Pag nag attach ng headrest monitor, san nilalagay yung unique cables? sa LCD monitor o sa source HU sa baba?
3. Pag nag set-up ng amp/processor, san ikakabit yung RCA's sa LCD monitor o sa source HU sa baba?
Thanks,

boss petixs, lahat ng external connections sa LCD nakalagay. more on sa volumen controller and DVD reader lang talaga function ng HU.
Sa mga naglagay na ng rear cam, na try nyo na ba activate yun cam using the LCD menu? there is an option there for the camera, right? Mine is not working using that function, the camera button is always grayed out. Pag naka reverse lang talaga working. Had called AVT na and they are still checking this along with the no video output on the headrest monitors using USB as input. Sabi most likely meron software upgrade for the system to address these...

May 6th, 2011 06:09 PM #10*Tuazon7,
Thanks sa reply, dun pala sa LCD part lahat, kaya balak ko, isang trabaho na lang paglalagay ng AMP/Processor, back up cam, headrest monitors...etc.
Regarding sa USB problem mo, is it an isolated case o lahat tayo ganyan?
BTW, any knows if we can add a TV tuner? any TV tuner would work , or ta has to be AVT?
