Because all your pores are open from prolonged exposure to hot water. A brief splash of cold water closes them. If you don't, "papasukin ng lamig" as elders would say. That's why there is a cold pool, cold shower or at least a bucket of cold water in saunas. Like in Ace Water Spa.

Oh I only do that to my face (to close the pores). I don't take cold baths kasi hehe

All in all,- about 30minutes starting at 6am.
