It depends where you stay in NYC. We stayed in my aunt's place across the Central Park for a month, and it was wonderful.

NYC has so much to offer: history. culture, shopping, sights, and food.

You get to understand why people love this city so much.

    * Jun -- I feel your pain as far as moving. In the last 3 years we moved two times coast to coast. We do miss some aspects of being in the northeast. I miss being close to NYC..dangerous place for my wallet!

Manhattan was okay. It's elsewhere in the metropolitan area I had some concerns with.

I kept wondering what BGC was. I looked it up online and it's Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. Is that the same one which has the SM/mall that opened last year?

Just wondering because my niece has a condo in one of the high-rises there.

I wanted to stay at the Thousand Islands region. But, the rest of the family don't. I think the last straw for them was enduring the long and frigid cold of last winter. We had snow and subzero cold from October until well into April. I didn't mind. I love the cold.

Google Maps is sheer GENIUS! It even shows all the options for public transportation AND the schedule! WOW! It shows hotels and restaurants around the area too! You could plan a whole trip abroad with just google maps and trip advisor!

    Central Park Snowball

The opposite East Central Park, 3 blocks after the 5th Avenue Apple Store.

People in NYC are very polite and helpful. The city offers so much to visitors.
