    because we are the most fortunate race in the whole world, imagine all politicians are willing to spend hundreds of millions of pesos just to be able to serve us..their constituent...

    Pinoys dont take anything seriously.

    We can laugh or sing our way out of anything.

    That's why we dont have a high suicide rate... even if we dont have any money..

    Madami nga lang my hypertension hehe

    People from rich countries should learn a thing or 2 from us.

    My uncle designed the lunar buggy the americans brought to the moon. I designed a muffler for RC boats now being sold by Mike Tyson (not the boxer) they call "cheater muffler" the americans love so much but I never got a cent or freebies for the design. It was acknowledged by mike and posted at jim's rc boat dock that it was a guy from the Philippines that gave him the design.

    agree! we find humor in all things, even in the worst crises hehehe nung ang piso ay 55:1 nagtatawanan lang ang mga tao. tapos nang sinabi ni lucio tan na malamang aabot ng 100:1, nagtawanan pa din mga tao. puro tayo mga hibang hahaha

    noong unang people power nga e parang piyesta ang edsa. puro tangke at tora-tora na, pero nagpipiyesta pa ang mga pinoy sa kalye hehe ayan tuloy, nainggit ang mga sundalo kaya naki-piyesta na lang din sila kaysa makipag-giyera

    and of course, i love it that we smell good.

    To answer the thread: What makes you proud being a Filipino?

    1. Family ties - there's always a cousin or a 2nd cousin or kahit gaanong kalayo pa yan. "kamag-anak is kamag-anak." kahit kapit bahay lang or kabaranggay...

    2. True friends - pansin ko sa other nationalities, may "true friends" din naman. pero mas madaming "friend of convenience"
