April 24th, 2015 12:11 AM #52But kidding aside, size is not nearly as important to me as location. I would rather a small place at the heart of the city than even a huge mansion in a remote area.

My mom's house is around 250 sq m. I'm not sure about the lot property area (~400 sq m, maybe). My own house is 210 sq m. Just right for a family of four. We don't have a housekeeper. So, I don't really want a bigger house. My sister have two houses, both around 250 sq m. The difference is, my sister's houses are both two-story while my mom's house is single-story. My mom's house feels bigger because it's spread out on a single floor.

May 6th, 2015 01:09 AM #58My ideal house is that all the bedrooms (3-4) are their own cabanas/little villa and spread out all over the property. These rooms are connected by covered walk ways to a central core where all the entertainment happens (sala, dining, kitchen, family room). Ala clubhouse style. The property shall have a pool and guest house next to it. Another separate structure for the service area. This would require atleast 1 hectare lot area for it to have beautiful vista from every room. The entire lot must be landscaped by ponce. Only possible in the province.
For metro manila i dont mind living in a condo for those days we spend there. We're prolly there in manila 30 nights/year so we are actually doing this now. Only i want the condo to be around velasquez park in salcedo village for it to be ideal. I like the vibe there. Cosmopolitan but still organic. Unlike bgc which i find too gentrified. Im pro gentrification though as long as itlls be applied to the decaying parts of metro manila.Last edited by dcph172; May 6th, 2015 at 01:17 AM.
