Floods slowed traffic on some Metro Manila roads

MANILA, Philippines- Floods as high as 17 inches hit some major roads of Metro Manila as rains showed no signs of abating early Monday night.
The Metro Manila Development Authority flood monitoring center raised a flood alert on Quirino Avenue, Pedro Gil, Rizal Avenue, Taft Rotonda, P. Tuazon, España and Maceda in Manila and EDSA Aurora tunnel in Quezon City.
As of 6:12 p.m., the MMDA said a 17-inch deep flood rendered R. Papa on Rizal Avenue impassable to light vehicles.
Both lanes of EDSA Aurora tunnel in Quezon City and Taft Rotonda in Manila were hit by gutter-deep floods at 5:44 p.m., slowing traffic.
Along EDSA P. Tuazon, the MMDA also reported gutter-deep floods as of 6:01 p.m.
Three to four inch-deep floods hit España Maceda at 5:57 p.m., the MMDA added.
As of 7 p.m., the following roads were reported impassable to light vehicles:
- C4 Lascano
- Araneta Avenue-Maria Clara
- Samson Road, Caloocan

Tayuman not passable na. Parts od abad santos hindi na rin advicable to pass
