I'm a graduating architecture student from UST and I'm doing a research about the user profile and needs. My thesis is an automobile complex. here are some questions for my fellow auto enthusiasts. I'm open for comments and suggestions. I appreciate your participation thanks.

Nope.

- What Automotive Facilities from other countries would you like to have here?

A racetrack / automotive technology center inside Manila or nearby (Laguna area, maybe)

- If you have a dream car what would it be?

Alfa Romeo Giula

- Would a construction of an automobile museum entice enthusiasts to the car brand?

Maybe.

All of them. For completeness.

Nissan

Do you participate in automotive events, if yes what are these events?
Not anymore due to budget constraints (used to do car clubs, mekaniko meets, join/support auto shows and join track days)

What is your purpose for joining automotive events?
To enjoy your ride and be amongst fellow enthusiasts and get good deals on whatever car related things.

Where are the venues for automotive events in the country?
Same as Niky's

Are the existing facilities for automotive activities sufficient for your needs?
For my needs, yes... for my wants, no.

What Automotive Facilities from other countries would you like to have here?
1. The Ring... or at least a track that can host an international event such as F1.
2. A DIY shop and garage where one can get down and dirty with your own car.

If you have a dream car what would it be?
BMW M5 Touring

Would a construction of an automobile museum entice enthusiasts to the car brand?
Probably not as enthusiasts want to experience the car and not just ogle at it in a museum.

What car brand would you like to be featured in the automobile museum and why?
Mercedes Benz... its timeless.

In terms of anything: Bugatti, Lamborghini, and Porsche

Sometimes. Car shows mostly.

Broaden my horizon and learn the latest trends

There are lots of places currently, but the more common ones I know are Philtrade (Worldtrade?), Silver City, Subic Raceway, Batangas Racing Circuit, etc

needs?
I'd probably still want more

- What Automotive Facilities from other countries would you like to have here?
Autobahn
Fully-automated car wash (there used to be one in T Morato... what happened to it?)
A car city of sorts for all (or many) car brands with a shared test driving track

- If you have a dream car what would it be?
Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Murcielago, Porsche Carrera GT

- Would a construction of an automobile museum entice enthusiasts to the car brand?
Definitely, because it helps build not only brand awareness but teaches the philosophy behind the brand

- What car brand would you like to be featured in the automobile museum and why?
Bugatti, because its sense of history, especially in racing, is one of the most compelling for me

- What is your preferred car brand?
I lean towards Honda, but if I 'm going to purchase a new car right now I'd choose a Suzuki Jimny.

- Do you participate in automotive events, if yes what are these events?
Two years ago there was a presentation in the National Library of Singapore about the historic Sinagpore Grand Prix (held during the 60's and 70's). At the lobby there were vintage and classic cars on display.

Ten years ago there was a gathering of Mini enthusiasts (in Singapore) to celebrate the Mini's 40th birthday.

- What is your purpose for joining automotive events?
To see fascinating machinery.

To meet interesting people. At the National Library event, I had a chat with Rodney Seow, former race car driver in the Singapore Grand Prix. Racing then was more dangerous because of the rudimentary safey equipment. Mr. Seow lived through all that. His friend Filipino race car driver Dodjie Laurel was killed in the Macau Grand Prix.

Only enthusiasts who appreciate automobile history (technical and design).

- What car brand would you like to be featured in the automobile museum and why?
I prefer an automobile museum that's not limited to one brand.

What I'd like to see in a museum:
- Vintage cars (different brands)
- Classic cars (different brands)
- Cars of the stars (examples: the car in the Vilma Santos movie "Vilma and the Beep Beep Minica", jeepney ni Erap, Cadillac ni Fernado Poe)
- Locally made cars (sports cars like the Conge and the BAR, past and present AUVs, utility cars like the Sakbayan, and the main attraction - the MVPMAP PHUV and the e-Jeepney)
- Car wash with beautiful girls in bikinis. With a restaurant / pub house next to the car wash so men can ogle the ladies. You want the museum to be profitable, right?
