Upscale developer Alphaland Corporation of tycoon Roberto V. Ongpin, has launched the P2 billion members-only Alphaland Marina Club located in Parañaque.

Alphaland project director Rafael Ongpin said the Marina Club is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2014. It will have a breakwater that will enclose about 10 hectares of marina area, with 300 berths for boats of all sizes.

The project will feature an iconic clubhouse, built on pilings in the middle of the water, offering a new and unique nautical lifestyle based on nature.

The three-level clubhouse with scenic elevator, will offer many dining and entertainment options, including five private dining rooms for social and business gatherings.

In essence, it will be a full-featured country club on the water. Instead of golf or polo, the club is centered around the sport of yachting.

Members who do not wish to own a boat themselves may still enjoy the nautical lifestyle as the club will also maintain its own fleet of boats, which members may use at reasonable cost.

Boat owners will have a clean, secure, and efficient facility for their vessels. Entrance to the marina is strictly regulated, but it will be convenient for members and crew.

Alpthaland Marina Club is located along the Western coast of Alphaland Bay City, located between SM Mall of Asia and the Solaire casino and hotel complex of the Bloomberry group.

From the Makati Central Business District, it is a 15-minute drive, taking EDSA, Macapagal Boulevard, and Aseana Avenue. Secure parking will be provided at the waterfront.

The state-of-the-art marina has been designed by Joe Goddard Marine Pty. Ltd. of Australia. Goddard and his firm have had several decades of experience in design and management of marinas in Australia and the Middle East, including Dubai. (JAL)
