Hello Fellow tsikoter,
Just want to know about taxes, property tax to be exact..
we have 4 property and 1 of them in makati..
3 of them, we are only paying the basic property tax for like eversince i remember (cause am the one who is paying it yearly), but in makati, since this is a new acquired property, the city hall of makati is charging the basic property tax and they this SEF (Special Educational Funds). medyo malaki siya kasi 1% of the total assessed value of the property din.
pwede kaya yung basic tax lang babayaran namin and dedmahin yung SEF?
is it required by law for us to pay SEF?
been doing some research and don't see anything about us required to pay the SEF.
Please advise sa mga experts jan..
TIA.

Yes, it is provided for under the law. Lucky you that the others don't levy a SEF.
