    Hello Fellow Tsikoters..

    Happy Holidays to all..

    Quick question..

Can i file a case to a person who is sphreading false information about me..

Totoo ba nakakulong si earthlyken? - this is the message that was sent to all my friends that cause panic and message me about it.

Can i file a case of slander or oral defamation?

Hoping to get some information from anyone..

    Thank you..

You can always file a case but it's going to take a lot of time and money.

Wala bang other ways nito that is manageable lang yung impact sa atin in terms of time and money?
Like for example if spreading false statement sa social media.
This is to discourage those people to do the same.

    Actually may punto siya.

Just a waste of time to file cyberlibel if you ask me.

Tama si dr.d, just make a humor about it. Kapag inulit, dun mo na tuluyan ng cyberlibel para masakit.

An imputation can be in the form of a question.

    Revised Penal Code:

"ARTICLE 353. Definition of Libel. — A libel is a public and malicious imputation of a crime, or of a vice or defect, real or imaginary, or any act, omission, condition, status, or circumstance tending to cause the dishonor, discredit, or contempt of a natural or juridical person, or to blacken the memory of one who is dead."

    Cambridge dictionary defines imputation as:

    "imputation
    noun [ C or U ] formal
    uk /ˌɪm.pjuˈteɪ.ʃən/ us /ˌɪm.pjəˈteɪ.ʃən/
    Add to word list
a suggestion that someone is guilty of something or has a particular bad quality:"

i am reminded of the late but real macoy.
he would never point an accusing finger at anyone, because there would be three other fingers pointing back at him. instead, he would use an open palm and hand, with fingers together, where all five fingers would all point in the same direction.

    la lang.

    to the threadstarter,
are you sure your friends and acquaintances actually thought you were in jail? is it possible, they were just playing along, treating it as a joke, even as it was on you?
