Hindi naman talaga maganda Dolomite beach. Waste of money. And kapag naghigh tide or bumagyo, pumapangit and mae-erode talaga yung sand doon. Nakailang refill na sila ng sand after ng ilang bagyo. Masmaganda pa kung park full of trees ang ginawa ng DENR either on recalimed area or other areas sa Manila.

Back to topic. Namimiss ko na Greenbelt. Lumipat na kasi company namin ng office. Tambayan ko pa naman Greenbelt dati after work specially on Fridays.

I thought it was ridiculous to build a condo in Tagaytay kasi kaya nga nagTagaytay for open space and nature. Apparently not.

I don't like that high rise condos are too close to residential areas na

OT: I clalled it Fort long after they made it BGC LOL. Mahahalata mo yung mga "sinauna" na buildings yung mga midrise lang, up until the 2000s, Pacific lang ang mataas na structure sa Fort. Sa UCC Fort ako nagpupunta when I want to study outside of my home kasi may smoking area sila na aircon I like how there is no traffic, a lot of open space and you can park on the street.

BTW, I find the street names at BGC so confusing. It seems like they patterned it after NY. Up until now I am still not familiar with the street names even if I go there regularly. It is so much easier to remember the street names at Makati CBD (Rufino, Salcedo, Palanca etc) and Ortigas CBD (Emerald, Sapphire, Opal etc) Alam ko lang yung main roads like 32nd st, 5th ave, Rizal drive, supposedly you will be able to work the street names kasi ascending/descending lang naman pero nakakalito pa rin. Baka nagulo nung ginawang Taguig

Cat, the trick is to remember that south to north are streets (starting with 24th/Mckinley Parkway from SM Aura to 40th street where the new BGC/Ortigas bridge starts) and west to east are avenues (starting with 1st where JP Morgan is to 11th where Serendra/Market2 is located). The rest are small lanes and drives but streets and avenues are the major ones.

Pasay Road? Nahahalata yun age mo. Hahaha.

With BGCs numbered streets, ginaya lang nila Caloocan.

    yespo.
    i saw it.
coming from pasay city, the houses were on the right side.
there was not much on the left side of the road except tall grass and short grass.

that area between pasay road and where makati cinema square et al are now, used to be grassland.
the grass that grew there is a special type.
    it's the type horses like.
you could see several horses grazing there, back in the day.

Simula nagka fashion hall si megamall eh yan game changer. Kahit ngayon pandemic puntahan pa din.
Buhay na buhay ang Glorietta right before lockdown. Hirap parking pag lunch time, hirap parking pag uwian ng office. Hirap parking pag Fridays, hirap parking pag Saturdays and Sundays. Maraming condos and subdivision sa tabi. Yan ang market ni Glorietta sa weekends. Sa Weekdays, office peeps.

    personally,
i like street-naming by the numbers.
it's logical, and really easy to fathom, especially for beginners.
although, i confess, it lacks a certain human touch.

BGC is confusing because the original layout was radial (like Paris), then converted to a grid (like New York). It was probably changed when the Ayalas took over.

There are still remnants of the original radial design such as the curved road along Mind Museum.

Coming from the province, we rarely go to SM malls. Kaya better yang mas walang pumupunta sa mga Ayala Malls, Power Plant, or Shangrila Plaza. Dyan nalang kami lagi. Mas mabilis kumilos dahil hindi siksikan ng tao.
