Read somewhere that there is a shortcut bridge from Roxas district to Tatalon that comes out to Araneta Avenue. It avoids the huge jams in Quezon Avenue-Araneta Avenue Intersection and E Rodriguez Avenue-Araneta Avenue. Has anyone else tried this?

Kaliraya Bridge connecting Kaliraya St., Brgy. Tatalon and Waling Waling St., Brgy. Roxas, Quezon City, was inaugurated last 31 January 2009 by Hon. Mayor Sonny Belmonte, Hon. Congresswoman Nanette Castelo-Daza and DPWH-NCR Dir. Robert G. Lala, Ceso III and can now be used by motorists and the public in general.

Delay in the completion of the said bridge was primarily due to right of way problems caused by prolonged negotiations with informal settlers affected by the project and also by the relocation of structures (posts) owned by various utility agencies like Meralco.
Finally however, with the perseverance and serious commitment of the District’s Officials, the Project was able to be finished.

The construction of Kaliraya Bridge and the completion of its approaches / slope protection will definitely decongest the traffic flow along G. Araneta Ave., E. Rodriguez Ave., and especially Quezon Avenue. A benefit to the public that is surely worth waiting for.
