Makati City Employees get X-mas Bonuses, Fringe Benefits
12/09/2007
Christmas is fast-approaching, but for employees of the city government of Makati, the day came early when they received their yuletide bonuses recently.
The city government released a total of P209,989,263.02 in bonuses for its 7,522 regular, casual and contractual employees. These bonuses include their 13th month pay, fringe benefit, cash gift and rice allowance.
The lowest-ranking employee received at least P25,000. Contractual employees got more because regular employees already received half of their 13th month pay last June to defray enrollment expenses.
“Times are really hard but we want to make sure employees of the city government of Makati will still be able to celebrate a joyful Christmas with their families,” Mayor Jejomar Binay said.
Meanwhile, salary differential was also released by the city government amounting to P31,631,700.13 covering the salary increase for government employees which was approved last July.
“We want to give our employees the best compensation package we can afford them and Christmas is one of the best seasons to give this,” Binay said.

Hehe. Kulang ang polls kung hanggang 40k ang survey. Paano na kung may ceo dito na tsikoteer? Hindi mapapansin kung mag-vote siya sa 40.1k up, para sa kanyang P1.5M or so na bonus.
