Go for the Plasma.

Ours is Sony Bravia LCD. Mahal kasi kuryente....... So far, we're satisfied with it.
Its the other way around about Plasma and LCD.

1. Plasma- are a screen's phosphor coating that is very close to conventional tube TVs. Although Plasma has been perfected over the year's still vulnerable to burn-in, but its less likely with newer model.

My kids burn our Plasma(Panasonic) already and now using Samsung A860- series 46" LCD.

2. LCD- are use less energy than similar-sized Plasma TV's and burn is not an issue but picture are slightly less natural than TOP PLASMA.

Sony BRAVIA LCD are excellent TV's specially BRAVIA's XBR3
