July 20th, 2021 08:47 PM #61if you unscrew the frame and pull it out,
you will also be pulling out the sockets because they are held in place by a metal frame adherent to that plastic frame. pulling them out will expose the wires behind, possibly electrocuting someone if one is not careful. shut the mains, to be safe.
personally, i do not think you have to replace that frame or the sockets.
have the faceplate changed. that is what doggie bit. sinasalpak lang yan. it just snaps in place.
you can have the entire socket assembly replaced. this includes the face plate, the sockets, and the metal frame that holds the sockets. this is the most expensive way, and it is also the most sigurado way that everything fits right. hey! it's not expensive at all, replacing the entire assembly. the labor due the electrician is more expensive than that. heh heh.
replacing the sockets from the frame requires some amount of skill, i.e., it gets better after your first one or two attempts.
but i do not think your current pair needs replacing. madumi lang sila.
what would i do?
i'd just replace the face plate that doggie bit. provided i can get the right one.
if i can't get the right one, i'd replace everything, for a perfect fit.
some assemblies have a face plate that is screwed down. this will be more difficult for doggie to get at, compared to the one that he bit, e.g., yung sinisikwat lang ng ipin niya.
metal models with screwed-in-place face plates are nice, if you can get one. they are more dog-proof than the plastic one you have.Last edited by dr. d; July 20th, 2021 at 09:26 PM.

For 'new construction' canine/feline-proofing, best to consider raising the electricals to levels the pets or their piss can't easily reach.

I have big dogs though
We are not letting her roam until she is done teething (she's 1.5 yrs old) Napagastos na nga kami kasi we had to fence and cement a part of the eskinita so she can stay there. Ang nginatngat naman yung mga bamboo trees and our globe line nga, ewan ko what made her target what's attached to the wallI gave her buko and she was able to eat the meat. Wow! Sa bagay, si fat lab ko nagawa din na magbalat ng buko as a puppy, now at 10 her teeth are pudpod na LOL
