a friend pointed out to me that an AC/ref's compressor may turn on and off throughout the time it's running, as it tries to balance out the thermostat setting...so that means that the required wattage may spike up to the starting wattage when it does?

Yup,- make provision for the 3X VA(Wattage) for the start-up current(power) required by the compressor....

I usually import sa China sa mga genset na gamit namin sa mga stores. It is much cheaper compare sa local market.

OT:

Regarding Fleetguard oil filter for Cummins Genset, It has a total of four(4) Oil Filters. For some reasons, the supplier has only three(3) stocks at hand (same model and specs). They offered me another fleetguard oil filter but it is somewhat shorter compared to the other 3. Okay lang ba ito? Wala naman bang effect ito sa pag filter ng maayos at sa takbo ng Genset?
