That was my actual comment to the wifey when we saw the pics... "well, they can now proceed with the dang bridge".
We're blessed with a lot of natural resources yet cursed with a lot of natural disasters. It's all part of being in the "Pacific rim of fire". The sad this is we can't make proper use of our resources and at the same time we don't know squat on how to deal with disasters.

OMG, nawasak yung mga simbahan!
I've been to Baclayon and that church beside the bridge to nowhere. Tsk, sayang.
The Ayala Foundation, thru Bea Zobel Jr. has been helping the tourism community and preserving heritage sites in Bohol, I hope they can help out in reconstructing those churches.Last edited by lowslowbenz; October 16th, 2013 at 01:12 PM.

I saw a lot of people commenting on FB that why doesnt the INC hold their medical mission in Bohol, like right now?
From what i understand, a lot of the modern buildings today, given they adhere to the building code, should be able to withstand such occurrences (or at least remain standing even if heavily damaged). What are more in danger of collapsing are the old, low rise buildings or those "mom and pop" building constructions that may have resorted to a lot of under the table dealings and continued without the necessary permits, inspections, etc.
If they were to establish a "World Ring of Political Disasters", kasama na rin tayo dun.Last edited by vinj; October 16th, 2013 at 02:44 PM.
