Funny. I looked up the word "Happiness" at encarta dictionary just now and it ain't there!

Happiness is a Noun.

Happiness is an emotion. So is sadness, guilt, love, hate, anger, etc.

Maybe we should rephrase the question,

"What is the Rational basis of Happiness?"

It's a state of mind stimulated by different things. For me music of the 80's, masarap na luto ni misis( and si misis siempre :P), my growing son, contentment in life, fulfillment of my dreams in life, hopes, etc.
