I don't know how Philippine dealers follow the marked VIN# as far as year model is concerned, since lately I have uncovered that some Ford owners who purchase their vehicles in the first quarter of this year (2011) with invoices indicating for the purchase of 2011 vehicles had VIN# that indicate the vehicles were actually 2010 models. Doesn't VIN# follow a global standard, and not just random numbers a manufacturer makes on a vehicle.
How to detect via VIN# your year model. Check the 10th digit of your VIN number and for recently purchased vehicle it should show either 9 = 2009, A = 2010, B = 2011
