It's a consequence of being a military veteran. Running 3 miles on the treadmill is equivalent to running 1.5 miles outside. Of course, running 1.5 miles is the minimum fitness standard in the AF. I never quit (exercising) after I retired and I try to maintain those standards as long as long as I'm capable.
One thing I did was work closely with my doctor. She recommended avoiding activities that are hard on my knees. After recent basketball games resulted in sore knees, she's right. At least, no more full-court games for me.Last edited by Jun aka Pekto; July 10th, 2016 at 10:03 PM.

July 12th, 2016 09:39 AM #6110No traffic on my route this morning. On a normal day, any of my 3 possible routes (around 12 kilometers) would take me an hour or so. Bad days mean one and a half or more. Today I was at the office after 30 minutes
