just getting opinions, observations, suggestions about article 130 (a) of the labor code which reads:
art 130. facilities for women.-the secretary of labor and employment shall establish standards that will ensure the safety and health of women employees. in appropriate cases, he shall, by regulations, require any employer to:
(a) provide seats proper for women and permit them to use such seats when they are free from work and during working hours, provided they can perform their duties in this position without detriment to efficiency;
(a) provide seats proper for women and permit them to use such seats when they are free from work and during working hours, provided they can perform their duties in this position without detriment to efficiency;
from what i have observed, majority of employers are in violation of this provision of the labor code. either the law is ignored, or, not enforced, or, the women employees are mum about this fearing retributions at the workplace. or is this another useless or irrelevant stipulation in the code.
you must have any of them-a wife, girlfriend,a mother, sister, niece, aunts and grandmas or probably in one way or another been an employee
any inputs, insights, experiences, concerns or cases are welcome to be expressedLast edited by jick.cejoco; July 26th, 2013 at 10:37 PM.
