Reviving this thread as a friend of mine is thinking of buying the Mini (basic or entry level model).
Questions:
1. How expensive is the PMS? How often?
2. Are parts readily available?
Just to update, the Mini costs about 2M. the Mini Cooper S is 2.5M or so.

I'm in the process of replacing my Supercharger as you can see in my Avatar, when it comes to parts and availability its tough and expensive Mini to maintain, the Supercharger cost new is about $2000.00 (dollars in US) imagine here in the Philippines.. only the rich people can afford it--- no offense but its true I had a hard time finding a replacement, i'm newbee here so any suggestion?
The Water pump is coupled and run by the Supercharger, when the engine overheat most likely due to the PTO (Power-take-off) gears are gone and wasted, meaning the Supercharger has to be rebuilt or replace... good luck folks.... Happy Mini Motoring
