    Does MINI need another convertible? They already have the Mini Cabrio but this here is the 2013 MINI Roadster.

    Nope. A cabrio is a tin-top whose roof has been removed and a cloth (or steel, as is the fashion nowadays) retractable or removable roof is added.

    A roadster is a car built specifically without a roof, to which a roof is added afterwards.

    Cars designed as roadsters from the outset are often stiffer and more sporty than your typical cabrio.
