November 4th, 2007 11:41 PM #1Guys i have a problem,
My 1989 MB 260E manual wont start after not using for more than a month. The engine just keeps on cranking.
Several months back i notice that occationally the engine dies down everytime I speed down (coming from 3rd or 4th gear)
At the same time medyo hard starting ang engine. but after a few clicks it would start normally.
do you know any home service mechanics? My unit wont start now..
thank you

Ouch.
I think it's best to have it towed to a good shop... the dying down at speed issue could be a vacuum line issue, but you definitely need everything checked out now.
One quick thing you could do to find out if it's okay is to change the battery and try to start it. It may sound like it's cranking, but if the battery is discharged, it's not getting enough juice to actually turn over.
