i'm sure some of you don't know this yet, so i'm sharing this with all of you.
you can subscribe directly to car&driver OR motor trend for about $20 a year. that already includes shipping. i discovered this while surfing the net. i've been a subscriber for 2 years now. downside is, the first issue takes awhile to reach you (about 2 months), but after that the monthly issues arrive about a week in advance (e.g., september issue arrive last week of august).
i charge it to my card, and it comes out about P1200 for a 12 issues. imagine that, P100 per issue! some local distributors sell for as much as P450 each mag!

i wrote their helpdesk an email to make sure that they deliver to the philippines. you can try that too if you want.
