Lot of people believed Mad Max or Revenant deserved that Oscar, but the Academy will often pick a "socially relevant" movie over others when it comes to crunch time.

The scriptwriting for Spotlight, though, is supposed to be pretty good. Many critics had it as one of their top two or three picks to get that award.

Wonder if it'll get an "X Rating" here from the MTRCB, hehehe.
