Sa mga nagpakabit na ng broadband, pa-confirm naman ng konting tech/lay-out info (at kung ang nalalaman ko e di haka-haka lang):
1. Yong zipdee at destiny (being cable tv providers) ay yong matatabang co-axial cables ang ilalatag papasok sa bahay, tama ba?
E yon MyDsl, skydsl (Bayantel), at globe broadband. May splitter sa labas tapos...
2. ordinary telephone wires na lang ba ang tutulay papaloob ng house?
Tapos ikokonek yong PC LAN card (built-in sa PC namin yong Ali Network Adapter, fast ethernet something) sa modem (libre to di ba).
3. E yong kung saan isasaksak ang modem, tulad lang ba ng ordinary telephone wall jack?
Sa QC, walang globe. Ang bayantel, walang webspace. Ayoko naman ng co-axial kase yong abang namin sa loob ng bahay ay telephone wire at jack na e. So I'm left with PLDT. Sana alang hassle masyado.
4. alin ba mas mabilis o reliable --- cable-based or telephone-based broadband connection?
Medyo nakakainip na ang dial up e. Ang lalaki pa ng mga downloads at updates lalo na ang XP
Salamat.
PS: ay isa na lang, narinig ko rin (ewan ko kung tama) na ang broadband setup e "WI-FI-able" na rin. Ano gadget at san mo kelangan kabit to para maging hot spot ang place mo? hehe...hot spot, parang may illegal na activity e

DSL as long as you have a phone line then oks ka na. and it is FAST. very satisfied with MyDSL, been a subscriber for almost 2 yrs.
