7kml sounds too optimistic. the reading from the insutrument cluster could be very off.
if daily driven in metro manila it will probably be under 7kml. full tank method of course.

Even if it's slightly optimistic (talked to Manskee, he took those readings in Manila), it's a fair sight better than the V6 CX9.
That old car did 3-4 km/l in traffic and 7 km/l on long trips. :eek:
Granted, most CX-9 owners (and myself, when I tested it) do 100-120 on the highway... but I never saw better than 10-12 km/l from that car... and that's with hypermiling. Manskee drives a lot faster than I do, so for him to get 12 km/l on the highway is a very good sign.
I've no doubt it will be similar to the Fozzie XT in traffic... but then, it could be possible that the CX9 does eke out a slight advantage with iStop and Mazda's proprietary high-compression SkyActiv engine architecture.
All the torque of this car comes at 2000 rpm which is very similar to a diesel. So its possible. The Fozzie XT gets it peak torque at around 3700 rpm.
