i would find it weird, if i stepped on the accelerator and the rpm didn't taas... heh heh.
is it possible, you are experiencing a downshift as a response to your pressing on the speed pedal?

i once read years ago... there was this car model.. the user replaced the horn with a more powerful one.. it wrought havoc to the car's electricals..
mebbe you should ask if this might be your case...

For the 1.5? Doubt it. The 1.5 Mz3 takes 12s to get to 100. I don't think the 1.5 (even if it's lighter) can do it under 11s.

I didnt believe it too at first. But just a hair above 1000kg it's a pocket rocket.

Well it's a manual and it's 0-60 and not 0-62. The extra 2 mph takes around half a second, and the transmission robs you of about a second.

Still, if the Mz2 1.5 6AT can get to 100 in less than 11s, that's pretty impressive.

This is why the local reviews are praises to this mz2. I have to see this in the showroom. The mz3 and mz6 had long hoods. Hopefully this one is easier to clean hehehe.
