August 24th, 2009 05:09 PM #1Mga bro anong mas advisable na route kung papuntang ilocos via sctex, luisita exit or sa Lapaz exit?
in terms of mileage, safety, time and ease of driving.
BTW mga Hapon(3pm) or Madaling araw ang biyahe(1am) namin.
TIA!!

August 24th, 2009 05:37 PM #3potskie san po ang point of take off nyo? kasi kung 1am ang biyahe nyo and galing lang naman kayo sa metro manila, okei lang na wag na kayo mag sctex. pero kung 3pm ang take off nyo, maglapaz na kayo para lampas na kayo sa traffic sa tarlac city. san po sa ilokos ang punta nyo?

I second the motion, Luisita Exit if you're running at 1am. If you're going during daytime, espcially during the rush hours (morning, noon and late afternoon to early evening), take the La Paz exit then take the back roads all the way to Pangasinan.
If you're talking about the shortest route in terms of distance mileage, it would still be the old highway after exiting NLEX but the stress is higher as you have to pass and avoid a lot of slow vehicles and pedestrians.

August 24th, 2009 05:52 PM #5Take off from QC kami papuntang santa cruz ilocos sur.
Saan pala ako kakanan papuntang McArthur (Tarlac ByPass), Ano palatandaan?

If you take the Luisita exit, you'll still pass through Tarlac City but traffic will be very light if you're passing through late at night or early in the AM. This route is shorter then going to La Paz then heading back to McARthur Highway.
If you take La Paz, just turn left after exiting the SCTEX then follow the road; the signs will lead you back to McArthur Highway.
If you're travelling at night, stick to SCTEX and McArthur highway only (for security reasons).

I would think that taking the Luisita Exit is more for going to the West side of Luzon towards the direction of Dagupan, Alaminos, Bolinao etc. and while the La Paz Exit is more for going further north such as Baguio, Ilocos, Vigan, Tugegarao, etc.
OT lang:
Kumusta ba kalagayan ng roads going to Tugegarao? Worth it ba mag road trip?

sa luisita exit ako dumaan mas malapit yata siya papuntang mcarthur. madami nga lang akong bugs/insects na naipon, sa radiator grille, bumper, hood, windshield pati sa front ng side mirror.
sctex fee 60pesos nlex exit to luisita exit.
*Mguy
sa mcarthur hi-way papuntang ilocos route may mga road repairs na ginagawa.
umikot kami ng ilocos then cagayan papuntang tugegarao via mira-sanchez ok yung road condition. dumaan kami tugegarao kasi destination namin yung Piat.
