Gajah Tunggal, IMHO, is a proven brand. I've been using it since 1995. No bad experience whatsoever. Still using it on our car, MPV, and LT: it's a good buy!
    Any recommended retailer?

Just one more piece of advice, don't go to Hi performance alabang... aftersales service is very poor there.
thanks for the warning. was going to buy one for my altis as it had a 3 plus one promo. Will wait for bridgestone then

I've just replaced my front tires with Nankang Surpax SP5 235/65/R17 from my suki for 5200/pc. I was impressed by the 108V load/speed rating which was an improvement from the 104T Westlakes it replaced. Unidirectional tread pattern also looked pretty good. After a couple of days, I can say that it has excellent grip. No squealing even with sudden jabs on the throttle. Though it seems to be a bit noisier than the old Westlake.

Been using Achilles Desert Hawk on my MOntero Sport for 2 months and they are really worth it..great handling low noise The previous Goodyear Wrangler HP are much worse than the Achilles as they are quieter, look great and very thick thread.

And Achilles tires costs almost half than Yokohama and Bridgestone.

The tread pattern and side walls look great.

Veteran brands like yokohama, goodyear, bridgestone and dunlop has just gotten too expensive for the common folk.

Using Kumho Ecsta SPT KU31 for my 2010 Honda City. Good reviews abroad and has been generally good tires both in the dry and wet.
